Munich

Munich was an incredible city. A little bit of a shock after coming from a ¨small¨city like Salzburg. I couchsurfed with a guy named Marco (¨Mojo¨) and he took me into the city center before heading off to work.

I tried a free bike tour with the guy named Lenny. They´re a fun group and they have a bike that carried 15+ people and relies on the leg power of 12 people to propel it – usually through the streets – of Munich. The ¨bike¨ is a little slow, and the tour went a little long, but it got us all out into the city. Also, they have good information of the history of the city, which always makes things more interesting. If you want to find out more about the tour, click here.

Munich´s history was really exciting and interesting to hear about. Some of the buildings still have damage from the bombings of WWII. There´s so much to talk about I´d never fit it all in this post. Let´s just say try the beer, see the sights, and try to avoid the masses of tourists who are just like you. I spent another night in Munich, then woke up and got on the road for Ingolstadt, home of the Audi factory.
